Crispy Oven Baked Chicken

Is this crispy oven baked chicken healthy?

Chicken breasts are a low-calorie meat which is an excellent source of lean protein, essential for building and repairing tissue as well as maintaining muscle mass. It is also packed full of vitamins and minerals. Selenium, a mineral, aids in proper immune function and contributes to good thyroid health.  Chicken is rich in B vitamins like niacin and vitamins B6 and B12, important for energy production and brain health.

Just so you know, if you have any leftover, the chicken freezes well and can be reheated gently when a quick single serving is needed. Perfect for lunch the next day too.

Ingredients:

6 Chicken boneless chicken breasts

3/4c. Breading

1 tsp. poultry seasoning

¼ tsp. pepper

½ tsp. paprika

3 tbsp. melted butter

Directions:

Combine breading & seasonings. Drizzle chicken with butter & coat with breading mixture.  Place in a greased pan and bake at 350⁰F oven for 1 hour.  Serve with your choice of vegetables & rice, or your favourite potatoes.
