They are packed full of healthy protein from both the Oatmeal and the hemp protein powder, and are an excellent source of much needed daily fibre. The delightful taste of dates, which are also a good source of fibre and protein, and added coconut nutrition just makes these bars a perfect healthy mid-morning or afternoon snack.
Are hemp protein bars hard to make?
Hemp Protein Bars practically make themselves, they are so easy. And once the dough ball is made, all that’s needed is a parchment cover pan and a little time to set. Cut into squares and sample your creation. Hide a few in a sealed bag in the freezer for later. You might even want to have more ingredients on hand to make another batch soon. Enjoy!!
Ingredients:
- 1.5 cups rolled oats
- 6 Tbsp Hemp Protein Powder
- 3/4 cup cooked pitted dates
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut
- 2 tbsp pumpkin seed butter
- 1 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Himalayan salt
Method:
In a food processor combine all the ingredients and pulse until it forms a dough ball.
Roll out onto a parchment paper lined 8×10 pan
Melt 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips with 1 tsp coconut and pour over top.
Set in the fridge or freezer. Enjoy!
