Homemade Turkey Stock

Homemade Turkey Stock is easy to make and has much more flavour and goodness than canned broth from your local grocery store. AND you control the amount of salt added.

Is homemade turkey stock good4you?

This turkey stock will contain lots of easily digestible nutrients because bones are packed full of vitamins, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus. As well, bone marrow can be rich in iron, vitamins A and K.

The carcass’s connective tissue is filled with collagen that will be pulled into the broth when gently boiled. This beneficial collagen, found within the bones and other parts of the turkey, is the protein that creates gelatin when it is cooked. Collagen provides several amino acids and can be beneficial to joint health.

Once the broth is ready, make up some soup with the leftover meats and add vegetables of your choice. Or freeze what you don’t use right away for future recipes. You’ll never just toss the bones again after trying this easy homemade turkey stock recipe.
