Peanut Butter Overnight Oatmeal

Oatmeal is nutritionally rich, contains more protein than most other grains, and is loaded with antioxidants and soluble fibre.  It may help to lower cholesterol, blood pressure and control your weight. The fibre is excellent for helping to maintain a healthy colon. Add the protein in natural peanut butter plus the antioxidant and fibre from the chia seeds, and the combined nutrients with the oatmeal has increased health benefits, helping to start your day off on the right foot.

What are antioxidants?

Antioxidants are substances that can help prevent or slow damage to cells caused by free radicals that the body produces as a reaction to outside influences such as pollution, smoking or infection. Though the body’s cells naturally produce antioxidants, your diet helps produce more as well, boosting the levels needed to keep your immune system strong.
