What could be better on a hot summer day than this sweet watermelon pizza? It’s healthy enough for breakfast or sweet enough for dessert. (based on recipe from: watermelon.org)
How is this sweet watermelon pizza good4you?
Watermelon is 92% water, something we all need lots of to keep hydrated, especially on a hot summer day. On it’s own, it is packed full of antioxidants and Vitamins A & C. By adding the yogurt, berries, coconut & almonds, the nutritional value increases. There are more antioxidants, minerals and healthy fats because of the added ingredients. There’s even a small amount of protein. Change up the toppings if you want to add variety.
Will children enjoy this refreshing snack?
Make it a craft idea for your kids on summer holidays. Make sure you, as an adult, cut the round portions first so they are safe. Then set out dishes with the other ingredients and watch them have fun creating a healthy treat.
